Costume National AW15-16 #MFW
The main theme in collection Costume National AW15-16 is a rigorous total black (and heaven only knows how much I’m happy about this). So dark and metal, hell yeah.
The lead hair stylist James Pecis for Moroccanoil explains to us the hairstyle he created for the show. The mood is easy, cool, with beatiful clean hair and nice waves. A couple of girls have held back black feathers: they rubbed a little of mousse for more separation, they pulled back into a chignon with pieces of leather turning around. Setting is very soft, for not to get too much waves. There are beautiful bangs held back around the eyes for an opened up look. Then a nice blowout and a clean texture.
The key artist for MAC Cosmetics was Benjamin Puckey. He told us the inspiration for this beautiful make up look, a bronzey smoky eyes with high reflective, dewy cheekbones. Despite the collection’s main theme being all black, he chose not to use black for the make up even if he wanted to create a rock’n’roll look, a sophisticated version of a rock’n’roll look. Think about Charlotte Gainsbourg‘s allure. Nails are by CND (my beloved Vinylux).
“We used Powersurge Eye Khol inside the eyes and then smudged down to the bottom of the eyes. Then a Cream Colour Base in Dusk and all is setted up with Tempting Eyeshadow, a shimmering beige. We applied mascara on top and bottom lashes. We contoured the cheekbones with Sculpt sculpting powder and Cream Colour Base in Pearl on the cheekbones with MAC Gloss on top for an extra shine. On the lips a new lipgloss, Huggable Lip gloss in Keep it Light, a very pretty pinky beige that suits everybody. A simple but beautiful look. It is a polished look. As a base we used only MAC Pro Longwear Concealer only where needed. The face is matte in the middle and a glossy shine on the cheekbones. It is a mix of textures.” – Benjamin Puckey, key artist for MAC Cosmetics.
